Welcome to the Cherokee County Rural Water District #16 Community. First step in obtaining water service is to complete an Application to Determine Water Service Eligibility.
Once eligibility has been confirmed by the hydrology engineer, please submit the following forms found below: Application for Water Service, Right of Way Easement, Estimated Water Usage Worksheet and Notarized Property Deed. Applicable fees are indicated on each application.
In addition, rural water departments in Oklahoma require a copy of the DEQ Form 641-576S/641-576AS (On-Site Sewage Treatment System Inspection Report) when someone applies for new water service (especially for new construction) because of how the state regulates onsite sewage/septic systems and protects public health and water quality. RWD#16 will require a copy of the DEQ's final sewage/septic system inspection report before meter installation.
